MG Group Associate Director Programme
Our MG Group Associate Director Programme gives an emerging leader a practical way to learn, contribute and build governance experience at the MG Board table. It is also a valuable opportunity to prepare for the possibility of standing as an elected MG Board director in the future.
The opportunity
Spend up to twelve months alongside the MG Board. You will receive full Board papers, take part in all meetings with full speaking rights, and join a coordinated induction with mentoring from a Board member. You will contribute equally to all discussions and hold no voting rights.
Who can apply
- MG shareholders who are Current Producers
- Family members of those shareholders
- Related parties connected to transacting shareholders or those likely to become transacting shareholders in the future
Applicants must be committed to governance learning, able to dedicate time, and motivated to make a positive contribution to MG and the wider industry.
Time and commitment
- Up to twelve months starting in January 2026
- Meetings: usually monthly, with reading and preparation required
- Travel: for meetings, induction and occasional site visits (expenses covered)
- AGM: attendance forms part of the experience

Selection
The recruitment process is being independently managed by Decipher Group to ensure transparency and best practice. This includes candidate screening, shortlisting, with a recommendation and interviews undertaken by representatives of the MG Board.
